Osmosis water filter

In a context where tap water quality becomes a major concern (taste, odors, pollutants, PFAS, etc.), choosing a high-performance purification system is essential. With the Cross Solo, Ecosoft offers a direct-flow osmosis system that is intelligent and capable of providing drinking water immediately, without a bulky tank, while guaranteeing efficiency and safety.

Why choose a direct-flow osmosis system?

  • Ultra-pure water on demand: no need to store, water is filtered on demand, which reduces risks of stagnation or secondary contamination.

  • High sanitary quality: elimination of contaminants (bacteria, viruses, PFAS, heavy metals, etc.).

  • Improved taste and smell: removal of chlorine, odors, and unwanted tastes.

  • Simpler maintenance than a storage system; less space required.

Technical characteristics & specifics

  • Purification flow rate: approximately 1.5 L/min or ~90 L/h for similar models.

  • Recovery rate: > 50% (this is the amount of useful treated water vs water rejected).

  • Quality of filtered water: TDS (total dissolved solids) reduced to a low range (ex. 5‑15 ppm) depending on the model.

  • Inlet pressure: typically between 2‑5 bar.

  • Dimensions & footprint: comparable models are quite compact (ex: ~ 435 × 140 × 458 mm, weight ~ 11 kg) which allows installation under a sink.

  • Smart functions:

    • Filter change indicator (visual / audible).

    • Automatic membrane rinsing (after use, after inactivity period).

    • Leak protection, automatic shutdown in case of problems.

  • Source water requirements: pH between ~ 6.5‑8.5 ; maximum TDS of inlet water up to ~ 1500 ppm in comparable cases.

The advantages of the Cross Solo

  • High performance: intense purification thanks to quality RO membrane, significant pollutant removal, PFAS included.

  • Comfortable flow rate for daily use (kitchen, direct consumption).

  • Simplified maintenance thanks to indicators, easy filter replacement, automatic rinsing.

  • Space saving: slim design: under-sink installation is possible without monopolizing space.

  • Safety and reliability: anti-leak protection system, water quality monitoring, warnings.

Who is this model for?

  • Households wishing for purified water on demand (drinking, cooking).

  • People sensitive to water quality (taste, health, possible presence of contaminants).

  • Homes with limited under-sink space, but concerned with performance.

  • Those who want an automated device, with less manual maintenance.

The Cross Solo vs other systems

CriteriaCross SOLOOther osmosis / standard filters
Instant flow without tankOften tank or low flow
Advanced filtration (virus, PFAS, etc.)Depending on model, less complete filtration
Smart indicatorsRare / few visual/audible feedback
Simplified maintenance & automationMore manual, more monitoring needed
FootprintLarge tanks take up a lot of space

Under-sink installation

The Cross Solo installs easily under a standard sink. A qualified installer can commission it in under an hour:

  1. Mount the wall bracket or place the unit inside the under-sink cabinet
  2. Connect the cold water supply via the supplied connection kit
  3. Install the dedicated faucet for purified water on the worktop or sink
  4. Connect the reject hose to the drain
  5. Plug in the power supply
  6. Perform a 15-minute initial flush before first use

No special tools — The Cross Solo uses quick push-fit connectors: cartridge replacement takes just seconds, with no wrenches or pliers needed.

Maintenance and cartridge replacement

Cross Solo maintenance is minimal thanks to automatic membrane flushing:

  • Sediment/carbon prefilter — replace every 6 to 12 months depending on feed water quality
  • RO membrane (500 GPD) — replace every 12 to 24 months. The visual indicator alerts you when the membrane is nearing end of life
  • Activated carbon post-filter — replace every 12 months for optimal taste
  • TDS — regularly check filtered water quality with a TDS meter (included in some kits)
